What We Do

 Since the establishment of the KATANGA Foundation in 2010, the Foundation has forged strong ties with Local governments, Private corporations, academic institutions, Multinational and pan-African entities. Such key partnerships have allowed the Foundation to support capacity and institution building in the country through its three programs: Education & Training, Entrepreneurship and Industrialization programs.

The Training Program is both Professional training and educational support program that aims to :

• The improvement and homogenization of the quality of national education based on Technology
• The endowment of schools with digital libraries
• Academic or school cooperation between the North and the South with the deployment of double degree programs.
• Facilitating access to funding to support construction projects and the modernization of infrastructure in member schools
• The acquisition of computers and internet access at competitive prices
• The electrification of schools by solar power plants
• The establishment of entrepreneurial and professional training programs as well as the promotion of innovative projects.

The Entrepreneurship Program is a support program that integrates:

• Promotion of entrepreneurship in the energy, agriculture and artisanal mining sectors.
• The incubation and acceleration of local start-ups
• Access to funding for project leaders, start-ups, entrepreneurs and SMEs
• Training in management, marketing and finance
• Support for start-ups to promote market access.
• Offer of expertise in development and strategies

The Industrialization Program is a support program that Integrates :

• Promotion of projects aimed at energy production in D R CONGO
• The promotion of agro-industrial parks and the processing industry for any agricultural product of D R CONGO
• Semi-industrialization of artisanal mines
• The development of factories for the assembly of industrial equipment used in mining, agriculture and energy.
